Bobby Lake Motorsports

BRUCETON MILLS, W.Va. -- Doug Horton and the Bobby Lake Motorsports team will wind up their season next week at The Dirt Track at Lowe's Speedway in Concord, North Carolina for three nights of World of Outlaws Late Model competition. First on tap, re-scheduled Topless event on Wednesday night. Then the World Finals on Friday and Saturday nights. Horton's season has been a model of consistency competing in 38 races to date he has one win, 23 top 5's including 9 second places finishes, and 30 total top 10's. He has competed in five series, World of Outlaws, Lucas Oil Series, Mid Atlantic Championship Series, UFO Series and The All Star Circuit of Champions. Also despite running a limited schedule he placed in the top ten in points at Roaring Knob Speedway and at the Lernerville Speedway.

At Lowes he and the Bobby Lake Motorsports team will be part of the Goddard Performance team as Horton will Pilot the Warrior house car #1G. 'All in all it's been a very good season when you consider we change chassis and have run strong almost every time we've gone to a track. Just a few little things kept us from having more wins than we have. I look forward to next week at Lowes and hope to have another strong showing', said Horton.

Horton will close his year out at Eastbay Raceway in the NeSmith Crate Late Model fall Nationals December 10th thru 12th in the Ken Nosbisch owned Warrior. In the Nosbisch car Horton won 2 of the 3 Crate races at Eastbay in February to kick off his 25th season of racing. 'I surely hope we can have the same success as we did in February', he said.

Horton drives for Bobby Lake Motorsports using Warrior chassis powered by a Jules Racing Engine using Genesis Shocks with Hoosier Racing tires. Horton is sponsored and supported by the following: BLM, Goddard Performance/Warrior Race Cars, 5 Corner Auto Sales, D&M Truck Repair, Yowlers Towing, Custom Racing Engines, Edge Racing Engines, Slavic Decals, Youngblood Concrete, Woodward Steering, Hoosier Tire Mid Atlantic, VP Racing Fuels, All Star Performance, Green Filters, Hedman Headers, Wiles Drive Shafts, Mason Racin, Peterson Pumps, and Frankland Rear Ends.
