THOMPSON, Conn. -- The 25th Season of the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour will come to a close and a champion will be crowned this weekend at the World Series of Speedway Racing presented by Xtra Mart at Thompson ( Conn.) International Speedway.

Practice and qualifying for the Whelen Modified Tour is slated for Saturday with the race on Sunday. Results for both will be made available at their conclusion. In the meantime, any information surrounding the events throughout the race weekend at Thompson can be found at nascarhometracks.com and thompsonspeedway.com.

The Race: The World Series of Speedway Racing presented by Xtra Mart will be the 13th and final race for the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour in 2009. This race was originally scheduled for Oct. 18, but was postponed due to rain.

Race Time: 3:30 p.m. ET

Race Distance: 150 laps / 93.75 miles
