Pit Notes: With Two to go, Douglas Motorsports on Top of Their Game

by Todd Kaho, Douglas Motorsports

LAS VEGAS -- With wins at both Crandon, Wisconsin and Perris, California, AMSOIL Kumho Pro 4X4 driver and Douglas Motorsports team owner Scott Douglas is looking to run the tables in Vegas. Those wins on two very different race circuits moved Scott Douglas into third place in the 2009 TORC Series presented by AMSOIL points race, 2-points up on Johnny Greaves and just 15-points out of second place.

“I’m excited about racing under the lights in Las Vegas,” commented Scott Douglas. ‘TORC is doing a great job of building challenging short course race tracks within the confines of dirt track ovals. The fans love it because they don’t miss any of the action—it’s right in their face. Our game plan is to finish the season strong, there’s no holding back, we are racing for wins. Bill Smith, Jason Schampers and the entire Douglas Motorsports crew has the AMSOIL Kumho Ford F-150 working great and we’ve made a few changes since our win in California that should make the truck even faster in Vegas. It’s been a great inaugural season for TORC and we plan to give it everything we’ve got this weekend for our fans and great sponsors; AMSOIL, Kumho Tires, Sycuan Resort & Casino, Ford Trucks, Fox Shox, Walker Evans Racing Wheels, KC Hilites, Raceline Oil Pumps, Miller Electric, BorgWarner, ProFab Motorsprts, Pro Power Racing, Ringers Gloves, Stewart Warner, Hawk Performance, MasterCraft Seats, Howe Performance Power Steering, J&H Transmission, McKenzie’s, MSD, Peterson Fluid Systems, and Phil’s Inc.”

See rounds 15 and 16 of Traxxas TORC Series action resumes Friday October 23rd and Saturday 24h under the lights at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. If you can’t make it, don’t miss it Sunday November 8th at 1:30 pm on ABC.
