Champions and Royalty Go Together in Memphis

Digg this story  Post to delicious

MEMPHIS -- Champions and royalty go together, at least they do at the last event of the season for the ASA Late Model Series Teams. On Saturday, November 7th at Memphis Motor Sports Park we will put on a Finale Spectacular with the top short track drivers in the country. This will be a historic event being held in Memphis, the last race ever to be put on at Memphis Motorsports before it closes its doors for good. Gates will open at 10am, racing starts at 12pm, autograph session at 1pm and at 2:30pm the O'Reilly's Auto Parts 'King's Ransom 300' Presented by Suncoast Plastering.

Steve Carlson from Sparta, Wisconsin will do all he can to hold on to the title he earned last season as '2008 King of Short Track'. This Midwest legend is just one of the many talented teams going for the title of king. The O'Reilly's Auto Parts 'King's Ransom 300' Presented by Suncoast Plastering will have Champions door to door in one of the most highlighted events of the season.

Brian Campbell from Wyoming, Michigan is an all around short track superman, he is also the 2005 ASALMS Challenge Division Rookie of the Year. Brian is the 2009 point's leader going into Memphis and the Championship is definitely within his reach. It would be a great victory to get a double win as Season Champion and King of Short Track.

Fans can also watch other Champions vie for the top position of the season; 2007 ASALMS North Champion Trent Snyder will be among the elite. The 2008 Champions of Peter Cozzolino (Challenge Division), Eddie Hoffman (North Division) and Dave Gentile Jr. (USPRO Division) will make their run for the title. Let's not count out our newest Champions to the family, the 2009 North and South Division Champions will both compete for the supreme title. Drew Brannon the 2009 ASALMS South Division Champion and Chris Eggleston the 2009 ASALMS North Division Champion.

We will also showcase the talent of the young and rising star Ross Kenseth, son of NASCAR's Matt Kenseth. We also have some great southern talent in the mix, Top driver Willie Allen out of Nashville, Tennessee and Josh Hamner from Pelham, Alabama. There will be plenty of talent on board for the event with teams from 16 different states and even a couple from Canada.

There are not too many events that are going to round up this kind of talent for one event and the competition is going to be fierce. The O'Reilly's Auto Parts 'King's Ransom 300' Presented by Suncoast Plastering will be televised on December 22nd Prime time at 8:00 pm eastern 7:00 pm central on Fox Sports Midwest.
