Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway Postpones All American Weekend

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The management at Fairgrounds Speedway at Nashville as decided to postpone the All American Weekend that was scheduled for this Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The event will now take place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, November 20th, 21st and 22nd with the same divisions and schedule that was to happen this weekend.

“The forecast right now is for rain, heavy at times, starting Thursday through Saturday,” remarked Danny Denson, the Promoter of Fairgrounds Speedway. “With that much rain, over three days we are concerned about the track seeping water on Sunday and this is not really an event we can do in one day. We thought it was best to pull the plug early and try another date rather than have all the teams and fans make the drive to Nashville and are not able to race.”

With the rescheduling GAS officials have also announced that all entry fees for members and non-members alike, will be $150 if received by Tuesday November 17th entries after that date will be $200. For those non-members that have pre-registered, they will receive a refund the weekend of November 20th.

Looking into the exciting points chase, the top three title chasers are less than one hundred points from seeing who is #1. Chase Elliott leads the points, with a total of 1232 points in the 2009 season. Casey Roderick is only 5 points behind teammate Elliott, as he has twenty five thousand reasons why to get the GAS points led, as he will get a $25,000 dollar bonus, for capturing the Super 6 point’s championship as well as gaining the GAS points title. Acworth, GA’s TJ Reaid storming in lurking in the third point’s position only 58 points behind the points lead as well. When the checkered flag flies over the 150 lap GAS Series event there will be cheers of joy for not only the winner of the 150 lap event, but the race to the championship.
