Friday, November 6, 2009 Chula Vista Resort to Host the 2009 ASAMT Championship Banquet

BURLINGTON, Wis. -- American Speed Association Kwik Trip Midwest Tour presented by ECHO Outdoor Power Equipment officials have announced that the 2009 Championship Banquet will take place on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at the Chula Vista Resort in Wisconsin Dells, WI. Steve Carlson, 2009 ASAMT Champion, and others will be honored for their accomplishments this past season.
"The Dells is a fantastic spot to have our banquet and is centralized for almost everyone that travels in the tour," Tim Olson, ASAMT President said. "Many of our teams like to bring their families so they can enjoy the weekend, and with the lower rates its good for everyone. The awards banquet is like a family reunion for all of us because everyone that participates in the ASAMT is like our own family."
Chula Vista Resort is located along the Wisconsin River and it features 200,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor waterparks along with various rooms, condominiums and theme suites to choose from and a banquet/convention center.
"Tim and I are always looking for ways to conserve costs and Chula Vista made a great offer to host our event," Steve Einhaus, ASAMT Vice-president said. "They have a five-star facility with a top notch waterpark for those bringing their families, and beautiful condos for our teams that like to stay together. They were very gracious in their discounts on rooms and pricing for the banquet so it was an easy decision to make."
The ASAMT has secured special rates for its teams and special guests. These include (per night): Fairway Villa Condo (sleeps 6) - $99.00; Tower Jr. Suite (sleeps 6) - $129.00; 2 Bedroom Condo (sleeps up to 10) - $229.00; 3 Bedroom Condo (sleeps up to 12) - $409.00. Please mention you are part of the ASA Midwest Tour when calling to make your reservations.
The indoor waterpark itself is 80,000 square feet of fun featuring something for everyone. Many of the ASAMT competitors may challenge each other on the Matador Mat Racers or hang out at the Mount Montezuma's giant rain forest. Other waterpark highlights include the Rio Rapids Action River, Mount Montezuma's Mayan Temple, Croc Walk Water Crossing, Flyan Mayan Zip Coaster, and Jungle Adventure.
The tentative schedule includes an Early Bird Party and Waterpark Fun on Friday, January 22, 2010 with the Family Day and Awards Banquet on Saturday, January 23, 2010. On Saturday, Hors d'oeuvres Cocktail Hour will start at 5:00 p.m. with dinner at 6:00 p.m. and the awards ceremony starting at 7:00 p.m.
Formal inviations will be sent to each team and their crews in the next few weeks. RSVP's will be due by January 11, 2010. The banquet is open to friends of the ASAMT and/or special guests that would like to attend. Invitations can be requested by contacting Steve Einhaus at steve@asamidwesttour.com.
