RACINE, Ohio -- The American Motor Racing Association (AMRA) has once again stepped to the plate in bringing a potent 2013 points' fund to the table for its members this racing season. Over the past 19 years, the AMRA has paid out close to $700,000 in prizes and contingencies. This season AMRA will add $5,000 to the Modified National Weekly Points payout, paying back 35 positions in the amount of $30,000 overall with an additional $500 going to 'Rookie of the Year'. The Late Model Point fund will now pay 15 places in the amount of $10,000, a dollar amount that raises AMRA payouts and contingency to right at $750,000 since its inception.

The Modified champion will take home $5,000, while the Late Model champion will bring home $2,000. Work is ongoing in trying to attract more sponsors for the series. The AMRA is very excited about the possibilities of attracting more marketing partners and is working continuously to upgrade its marketing venues.

An exciting new website format and other electronic media outlets are in the works to better drive the sanction into the booming technology age.

The longevity of the AMRA and its ability to attract and maintain sponsorship is a time-proven strength of the organization. 'We are established. We have been here for a very long time and the AMRA has paid out a great deal of money over time,' said Director of Racing Operations Scott Wolfe. 'And, we will continue to be here in the future for our drivers, our owners, our promoters, and our fans.'

In another effort to bolster its point fund and make the organization more appealing to drivers, AMRA Modified members finishing 36th-thru-50th will receive one case of Champion 20w-50 Synthetic Blend Racing Motor Oil and a WIX Racing Oil Filter valued at $100 for their efforts in 2013. This adds another $1,500 to the total points' package for the Modifieds, and rewards nearly one-third of the series' members for their participation. In addition Two Brothers Motorsports has jumped on board with $1000 for the 'Two Brothers Motorsports Lucky 13' award paying the driver who is lucky enough in 2013 to finish in the 13th position an additional $1000.

Additional funding is actively being sought for the Late Model Program, including a Rookie of the Year sponsor.

The 'Pomp and Circumstance' of the organization climaxes at the annual awards' banquet in November. The AMRA would like to remind all competitors that year-end awards' banquet attendance is mandatory for all cash award winners to receive their money.

AMRA members are asked to get their 2013 license early. Licenses are $75. Both rules and membership forms can be found at the AMRA website at www.amramodified.com for both late model and modified drivers. In the case that members have old forms, they can simply mail them to the new address. Memberships can be sent along with payment to AMRA, Scott Wolfe, P.O. Box 872 , Racine, Ohio 45771. Checks should be payable to AMRA.

The AMRA will once again be racing on Hoosier Tires in its modified division for 2013 as HOOSIER Racing Tire once again is an AMRA partner and sponsor.

Octane Racing Products has stepped up as the Title Sponsor of the AMRA Modifieds and Tru-Tech Customs for the Late Models in 2013. Other fine sponsors of the MALTA AMRA Modified series are Dave Poske's Performance Parts, Two Brothers Motorsports, Wrisco Industries, Hoosier Racing Tire/Hoosier Tire Ohio Valley, Carthage Auto Parts, AERO Racing Wheels, Rocket Chassis, Lincoln Welders & Lincoln Electric, Hypercoils, Bazell Race Fuels, Alky Racing Alcohol and Sunoco Race Fuels, Impact Racing, ADP Rivets, RCI, OTR Filters, MSD Ignition, Wilwood Brakes, Kluhsman Racing Components (KRC), Evans Vinyl Signs, Winters Performance Products, Bilstein Shocks, AFCO, PST Drive Shafts, Schoenfeld, Killer Bee Race Bodies, Bell Racing Helmets, The Bumper Man, and Pike Street Lanes.
