Wednesday, October 28, 2009 Golden Triangle Raceway's Fall Racing Classic will Begin Saturday, Oct. 31st
 by Joy Graham (Golden Triangle Raceway Park photo) | BEAUMONT, Texas -- Due to the forecast by the weather service predicting heavy rain on Friday, Glen Johnson owner of Golden Triangle Raceway Park has announced that the track's two day extravaganza, The South Texas Fall Classic, will be pushed back a day. Originally scheduled for Friday, Oct. 30 and Saturday, Oct. 31 the event will open instead on Saturday, Oct. 31, at 6:00 p.m. The grand finale will reach a climatic end on Sunday, Nov. 1. The program that day will start at 2:30.
The Halloween Party complete with costume contest and driver 'Trick or Treats' for kids will still be held on Oct. 31st. Salute to the track champions with an autograph session will still be a special part of the week-end program. The 2009 GTRP Champs are: Corey Neil, modified; Johnny Brown, limited modified; Ernest Haynes, street stock; Johnny Brown, hobby stock; Ben Harris, pure stock; and Karli Richardson, Jr. mini stock.
With big pay days offered in every fast lane class, The South Texas Fall Classic, should produce the most thrill packed racing of the 2009 season. Cars are expected to come in from all over Texas and Louisianna for this show. So, ya'll come and bring a friend. Golden Triangle Raceway is the place for exciting family fun.
