3rd Annual Lucas Oil Go-Kart Shootout this Weekend, $8,000 to Win Lucas Oil Pro Class Feature Event

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Lucas Oil will once again be the title sponsor of one of the largest go-karting events of the year and will be presented again by 5-time national dirt late model champion driver Earl Pearson Jr. This year's event is expected to be bigger than any of the past two years events with numerous racers already committing to attend the event coming from as far away as New York. The date of the event which was announced back in July has been set for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, October 30-31st and November 1st. This year's mega event will take place at the new Iron City Motorsports Karting Complex in Blacksburg, South Carolina. The feature event of the weekend will again be the Lucas Oil Pro Class that will pay $8,000 to win on Sunday November 1st. The Lucas Oil Shootout weekend will start on Friday October 30th with registration, tech inspection and practice on Friday night. Then on Saturday October 31st racers will compete in a full schedule of multiple classes paying money and contingency awards. On Sunday November 1st the schedule of events will be highlighted with the Lucas Oil Pro Class paying $8,000 to win with a unique qualifying format of qualifying and heat races to make the 30 kart starting field. All 30 drivers starting the Lucas Oil Pro Class feature will receive cash awards.

In addition to the Pro Class main event there are six (6) other classes paying $1000 to the winner, two classes paying $750 to the winner, seven (7) classes paying $500 to win and four (4) classes paying $300 to win.

Numerous awards and contingency prizes up for grabs:

$50 cash award to Fastest Qualifier in Lucas Oil Pro Class thanks to E3 Spark plugs,

3 Fastest Qualifers in Lucas Oil Pro Class that doesn't transfer into feature event through heat races guaranteed starting positions 25, 26 and 27th in feature event as E3 Spark plug provisionals.

$200 Cash Bonus to any driver that can win the Hoosier 380 FH or Hoosier 380 AN class using all four Hoosier tires.
