Friday, March 1, 2013 2013 Rules Released, Registration Party and Car Show Set in Place
 by Steve PettyHOLLAND, N.Y. -- The 2013 season is right around the corner at the Holland NASCAR Motorsports Complex as the Bennett family anxiously awaits the start of their 54th season of operation. The Registration party is this coming weekend on Sunday May 3rd at the Holland Willows on Savage Road.
The speedway would like to announce the addition of a second car show set for the weekend of April 25-28 at the Eastern Hills Mall in Williamsville, NY. “We would like to welcome Eastern Hills Mall to our lineup of great supporters and sponsors” says Holland PR Director Steven Petty. Space is limited for this show. For more information about the show at Eastern Hills Mall, email Holland General Manager Tim Bennett. Any car that is registered for this show, will receive bonus points towards the overall track championships.
The show at the McKinley Mall in Hamburg scheduled for the week of May 3-10 will also be taking place. “The show at Eastern Hills is an added bonus and gives our competitors more exposure to more racefans and potentially more sponsors” Petty added.
The rulebooks for all racing divisions are officially released and are now up on the speedway’s website. The rulebooks also have competitor guides to go over all the procedures that are in place for the upcoming racing season in the hills of Holland. Also available to download includes information and the registration form for the Compact Enduro set for Saturday July 20th as well as information about the track’s hospitality packages as well as information on the Holland Paintball Adventure Park.
The speedway has new contests that are up on the speedway’s Facebook page. The speedway would like to see photos of your race “family”. Whether you are at the track or working in the garage, the track wants to see your best picture that represents what Holland is all about, family. The winner will receive 10 free tickets to Opening Day on May 25th as well as four tickets to the Holland Paintball Adventure Park. The value on both tickets is $180 and the contest will end at Midnight on Sunday February 24th.
A highlight on Holland’s action-packed schedule is the visit by the US Air Force on Saturday July 13th. The Air Force will be bringing its Air Force mobile tour experience featuring the number 43 US Air Force NASCAR Sprint Cup show car driven by Aric Almirola for Richard Petty Motorsports. Hanger 43, where the car will be sitting will tell fans a story about how mechanical and technical careers in NASCAR are familiar to mechanical and technical careers in the Air Force. Also on display are two helmets, an Airman’s and the custom painted helmet of Aric Almirola. The racing action that evening will feature Midseason Championships for all divisions. Anyone that brings in a canned good will receive $5 admission. All canned goods collected will be benefiting the Food Bank of Western New York.
The Holland NASCAR Motorsports Complex will be having its annual registration party on Sunday March 3rd at the Holland Willows on Savage Road. The annual McKinley Mall Car Show will take place from Friday May 3rd through Friday May 10th at the mall in Hamburg. The 54th season of racing in the Holland hills will begin on Saturday May 25, 2013 at 7:30pm featuring the Getzoni Nationwide Insurance NASCAR Pro Modifieds, the McClurg Auto Group NASCAR Late Models, Bank of Holland Chargers, NASCAR Hornets, M&M U Pull-It Figure 8’s and the Holland Southtown Tire NYPA TQ Midget Series. Other highlights on the schedule includes Carwarz Crash-A-Rama on June 8th and September 14th as well as the return of the Race of Champions Modified Tour, set for Saturday July 6th. The George Decker Memorial 100 will be on August 3rd and Season Championships will take place on August 31st. The return of the Bud 100 will take place on September 7th.
