The Southern Ontario Sprints opened their 13th season at Brighton Speedway on Saturday night. SOS (Southern Ontario Sprints) Cool temperatures, some drizzle and hot racing action kept the fans at Evergreen entertained as the whole show went off in spectacular fashion. NASCAR (National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing) The Annual Vukovich Classic kicked off at Madera Speedway on Saturday featuring the SMRA Supermodifieds and the Madera Speedway 360 Supermodifieds. SMRA (Super Modified Racing Association) Mike Longton returned to Yakima Speedway on Saturday night and made the day an eventful one. ASALMS (ASA Late Model Series) On Friday night, O’Reilly USMTS Southern Series points leader Jason Hughes picked up his second win of the season and let it be known that he is the man to beat this year. USMTS (United States Modified Touring Series) Results for May 10, 2008 from Perris Auto Speedway. USAC (United States Auto Club) John Sternard and Aaron Holiday took home their first career feature wins in the street stock and IMCA northern sport mod divisions respectively on opening night at the Forest County Potawatomi Thunderhill Raceway. IMCA (International Motor Contest Association) Wayne Ramsey of Amherst, Va. and Jonathan Cash of Oxford, N.C. scored wins in the twin 75-lap NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Late Model Stock Car Division races that highlighted Saturday night’s USG Presents Little Caesar’s Night event here at South Boston Speedway.
